This authorization might be valid for approximately 3 years or it will be valid as long as all your other documents will also be valid. The system will evaluate which period you will get.
The ETIAS system is said to be a near-perfect system.

It is advised that in case you get rejected, reapply by typing in honest and direct information.
When should you apply for ETIAS?
It is recommended to apply for it at least 3 days before you have to depart.
Make sure to bring the ETIAS authorization email printout at the border if you’re driving or at the airport if you’re planning on flying.
